Event Details
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Otto Wong Brain Tumour Centre's ninth charity walkathon "Brain Trekking 2016" will be held on Saturday, 23 April in Hong Kong at Victoria Peak. It will commence at 9am and it is a 3.5 km walk that follows Lugard Road and Harlech Road starting from and finishing at the Peak Galleria. More than 450 participants are expected.

Aim and Background
Brain Trekking is the Hong Kong chapter of a global awareness program, “Walk around the world for brain tumours”, organised by the International Brain Tumour Alliance (IBTA). The aim of the walk is to raise public awareness of and support for brain tumour patients in the community. The total mileage of worldwide supporters will be accumulated with the goal to circling the world 5 times. Last year, over 400 walkers participated in the event including patients and their families, babies in strollers, toddlers, children, people in wheelchairs – put simply; friends and family. Together, we raised 1,400km in Hong Kong in 2015.
