Biography

Dr Ting is a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon with over 20 years of clinical experience. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with honours at University of Western Australia. Following this, she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy and a Master of Surgery with her thesis titled “The Anatomical and Clinical Study of the Posterolateral Trunk in Reconstructive Surgery. A Study of the Deep Circumflex Iliac Artery and Gluteal Artery Perforators.”. She was awarded her fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She then completed two post fellowship training at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom and Price of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong in the areas of Congenital Hand surgery and Hand surgery respectively.

Dr Ting has special interest in lymphoedema and flap reconstructions for breast, head and neck and other cancers. Dr Ting is also one of the few Plastic Surgeons in Hong Kong with special interest in Hand Surgery. The Prince of Wales Hospital is also a major burns unit and she has worked extensively in burns and scar management.


Research Interests

Dr Ting has published in extensively in areas of hand surgery, reconstructive plastic surgery and has helped in develop the first Congenital Upper Limb Anomaly database in Hong Kong. She has written book chapters in reconstruction and hand surgery. She is currently involved in research in areas of lymphoedema, burns and wound management and has strong ties with her colleagues in Australia to develop multicentre research.
