I would like to warmly welcome you to the 4^th Hong Kong International Burns and Wound Healing Symposium. As in previous years we are presenting an eclectic range of topics that illustrate the rich diversity of our field.

We are delighted to have key speakers from mainland China, Australia and Europe to share with us their expertise in Burns, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery. Our distinguished local faculty will address the ever increasing challenge of wound care in the community. We are devoting one day to aesthetic medicine which will include plenary sessions, mini-workshops and discussion groups. Included in this day will be presentation on training opportunities at home and abroad.

The essential character of these symposia has been to be educational, to be enjoyable and to be controversial. This year we will not disappoint in all three aspects.
